The main house was designed by Michael Patroni in 1994. Built from rammed limestone and steelwork, it comprised 3 bedrooms on the top floor and living areas on the ground floor.
The subsequent owners of the house have continued to develop the project with a first addition in 2001; a free-standing studio to accommodate guests. Built adjacent to the existing house, it incorporates a double garage and wine cellar below, and a self contained apartment above. The apartment has a generous North facing terrace with views to the Fremantle harbour and access to the garden area of the main house as well as a private courtyard to the South.
A second proposed addition comprises a small library with garden views on the ground floor and a walk-in-robe off the master bedroom on the second floor. The addition is proposed to be clad with a translucent sheeting, which during the day will create a luminous interior space and at night will glow like a lantern.
